What internet can do to strengthen a long distance relationship
Fatima had such a hard time when her husband was chosen to be one of the soldiers that will travel to Baghdad following the state of unrest that was caused by U.S invasion during Bush administration. She did not believe how it would be if her husband will have to travel and be away from her for 2years and leave her all by herself with the children in America. Even though her husband Jack never wanted it, it was a state of no return since he had sworn to defend the country and to respond to a call anytime. The only thing that soothed Fatima was her constant communication with her husband by phone, and then her friend introduced her to skype which would allow her to make video calls to Jack while in Baghdad. Her friend showed her how to connect skype to internet using a webcam, broadband internet connectivity with a modem and a computer. All she did was to download skype software from the internet depending on the operating system she was using and she would start making the video calls free of charge. As we speak right now, her husband just came home from the year 2008 through the Obama administration move to clear soldiers from Iraq, and her family has become even more stronger.
