The advantages of Radiology

Radiology is nothing else but is more than taking and interpreting x-rays. Gone are the x-ray films and developing and it has been replaced with an automated digital systems. These x-rays are now being delivered digitally and do not even need to be printed out or developed any more. Radiology has also advanced with many more advanced imaging techniques, such as ultrasound (which images by the used of ultrasound); magnetic resonance imaging (which images with the use of magnets); nuclear medicine (which images the uptake of various radioactive elements); computed tomography (which puts together 100’s of slices of x-rays to look inside the tissues)
