I got a Bat House To Recruit A Mosquito Fighting Army
Why do I get a million mosquito bites while a person standing right next to me gets none? No, it is not because I am “so sweet”. If I had a nickel for every time I heard that joke! However I did read recently that scientists have discovered that some people may be born with a scent that keeps mosquitoes away. This scent counteracts the odors that normally attract mosquitoes. Interesting but it doesn’t do me any good and I hate putting on mosquito repellent. I have also heard that a great way to control mosquitoes is with a bat house. If you put up a bat house in the yard it will attract the bats. Bats will eat something like 1000 mosquitoes per hour. That sounds good to me. I just bought a bat house and my husband is putting it up today. I’ll keep you informed.
