Questions Over Manchester United’s Strategy

So, Liverpool FC is out of the Champions League, no longer in top four of the Premiership, and now out of the Carling Cup. Anyone who knows about soccer will be aware that the fans are now calling for the manager, Rafa Benitez, to be fired. Meanwhile, over in Manchester, their bitter rivals, Manchester United-Theatre of Dreams are currently second in the Premiership, still in Europe, and in the semi-finals of the Carling Cup. It has to be said, Sir Alex Ferguson doesn’t get too much wrong, but some supporters are questioning his team selection strategies over the past few weeks. Losing or drawing to lower table teams doesn’t help their cause in getting to the top of the league.
