Going Pro as a Booking Agent
A had a few talented friends – you know the kind, they can act, sing, play in a band. Some are funny enough to do stand up comedy, too. Unofficially, I’d let them know if I heard of something that might be a good opportunity for them, openings, parties, gigs… Well, finally I thought to myself, I’m pretty good at this, why not do it full time? I found a book on becoming a successful booking agent by Randy Charach and read it cover to cover. Good stuff! Some of it I had already been doing, some I hadn’t thought of yet. I’m off to a good start!
