One of the hardest is English to Italian translation
Working as a guide for Italian toursits here in the US has been a tough challenge for me. I already knew Spanish and French before starting to learn Italian. There are many similarities, but certain aspects make English to Italian translation one of the hardest to do. Even if you prepare all your texts beforehand, adjusting to the flow of question you get from people can be a daunting task. With experience I got better though, and now I consider myself completely fluent in Italian. Only problem is that I feel speaking Italian better has diminished my skill in French and Spanish.
