Digital Cameras Buying Guide

Digital camera popularity has really taken the world of photography by storm. Their ease of use, the fantastic LCD screen, which allows for viewing of photos in real time and the convenience they offer by eliminating trips to the drug store and waiting for development is unparallel. While there are models of cameras that can be quite costly, cheap digital cameras that still take great pictures, are readily available, not only because of the Internet shopping sites, but also because there are so many manufacturers competing in the market. For those who are technologically challenged wading through the techie jargon of features can be overwhelming. Unless you are a professional photographer, most brands do deliver comparable quality of photos. But, there are certain features worth an extra look. One such feature is megapixel ratings. This rating impacts the resolution of final pictures. For the most part mega pixels are more important when intending to print or enlarge photos and is less important for pictures that will just be emailed or viewed on a computer in a standard 4×6 size. Another feature of interest is image stabilization, which compensates for the shaking of the hand when taking pictures. This is of great benefit, unless you enjoy carting a tripod around and will yield clearer and better photos.
